Revlon Eyeshadows / Product Review

I recommend these eye-shadows if you are looking for high quality and low cost.
The steel color, "Platinum Glimmer, " is highly pigmented.  It provides excellent coverage and feels light and soft - almost creamy.  This shade would work well on light and dark skin tones.  It is also a great component in the smokey-eye look.

I will add more information on these products soon!

This One Gets a Gold Star!

We already know that self-tanners not only turn skin orange, but they also STINK! The chemical dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is the chemical used in spray-tan solutions and drugstore self-tanning lotions. It effectively darkens the color of your skin through a chemical reaction with the amino acids in the dead layer on the skin surface. This chemical also produces a not-so-glamorous odor that becomes more noticeable a few hours after the application, but does go away after washing.

DHA is a sugar-based derivative and therefore is not found to be harmful to the skin. This formula is FDA approved and safe, however, products containing this ingredient should be kept out of eyes, nose and mouth.
(Even though it's made from sugar, please do NOT eat!!)

Now, onto my actual post...
As I was saying, self-tanners really stink! (I mean, the odor - otherwise, they are a great alternative.) On top of this, it is advised not to shower for at least 5-10 hours after applying otherwise the product will wash off. Because of these reasons, I have tried many products over the years, in search of tanning system that produces a natural color and non-pungent smell.

I believe I have finally found it!

Sublime Bronze by L'OREAL
Clear, Self-tanning Gel
**PARABEN - FREE**

What I love about this product:
  • Paraben Free
  • Drys quickly
  • Natural color
  • Significant color after just one use
  • Perfume scent
  • Affordable
Product Review:
I was not expecting to be so satisfied with a product in this price range.  Tanning lotions can run very expensive.  I chose this item because it is paraben-free.  I am pleasantly surprised to see how good the results are after just one application.  This product smells like perfume - much more appealing than other self-tanners.  If you are looking to try something new, you may consider this product.

*TIP*: As with all self tanners, use sparingly around elbows, knees, and ankles.  It is essential to exfoliate prior to application for even coverage.  Maintain your tan by moisturizing often. :)
Do not let the clear gel fool you...This product builds excellent color.  Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly immediately after applying.  Scrub between fingers, palms, and near wrist.

Find at Wal-Mart, and other retailers.
Contains various ingredients such as: Hydrogenated castor oil, glycerin, citral (citrus scent), and other fragrances.

...A Must-Have for "Glo'ing" Skin...

Sugar scrubs exfoliate rough and dry scaly patches on the skin.  Once the skin is polished to a smooth top layer, the ingredients in this product will help to re-hydrate and add moisture back into your skin.  It is always best to finish a body treatment with a rich moisturizer.  (Cream or lotion)
Exfoliation should be done approximately once a week, depending on your skin type.  Be careful not to over-buff your skin.  Also, avoid exfoliating over broken skin and abrasions (cuts).

*This is a perfect treatment to do prior to getting a spray tan! It will ensure that your tan comes out even and looking flawless.
